How long will it take to get my web site completed and online?
Professional web sites require a lot of planning to do things right. In most
cases, we suggest allowing 4-6 weeks for a site's completion. The timeline
depends on how much we have to go on. If you have all your text typed up, and
your artwork ready, then we can have it done within a couple of weeks. Some sites
take much longer, as more is needed by the client, from Logo design and text
typing, to photo's retouching and Flash building.
Why does the guy down the street charge less / more for his website design
services?
There are thousands upon thousands of "web site designers" out there -
everything from inexperienced teenagers making a few extra bucks, to high-end
firms that charge many thousands of dollars. We offer affordable, high-quality
custom web site designs along with the experience necessary to make your website
successful.
What can I expect from having a web site? Will I be overwhelmed with
customers?
Quite honestly, the chances of putting your site online and the next day
being bombarded with thousands of customers is highly unlikely. A realistic view
is that the average small business web site generally gets around 50-200 visitors a day.
While some
of those visitors turn into actual business, others are simply browsing around
online. However, your website will be online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
which gives you an opening to business all day everyday. If you own a small shop
that sells things, you are normally only open 9am-6pm, Monday to Saturday. All
of a sudden, with being online, your shop is open all day and night, every
day, even Holidays. If you have a service to sell, most people now search
online, rather than the phone book, and having a web presence lets people see in
more detail who you are. People are more likely to hire you if you have a web
presence, as they now know you are serious about your business.
Do you offer Flash sites?
We do basic Flash for logo's, buttons and banners. If you
have a movie or some music you want adding to your site, no problem, we can do
that. Most sites end up using too much flash anyway, it ends up taking so long
to upload, that you loose half your potential customers before you even start.
Sometimes less is more, especially when trying to get your point across.
